Asset Building Collaborative

Newly Approved State Earned Income Tax Credit


The Asset Building Collaborative standardizes financial education practices within member agencies and throughout New Haven.  This project is made possible through funding by the Annie E. Casey Foundation.  Member agencies include:

  • Community Action Agency of New Haven 
  • Christian Community Action
  • Connecticut Association for Human Services 
  • The United Way of Greater New Haven 
  • NeighborWorks® New Horizons
  • New Life Corporation
  • New Haven Family Alliance
  • Women’s Business Development Council

COLLABORATIVE PERFORMANCE MEASURES

  • Conduct pre-and post-tests
  • Retrieve and understand credit score reports
  • Basic savings account established and maintained.
  • Decrease in personal debt (self-reported and credit report)
  • Asset Purchases (i.e. autos, homes, etc.)
