Mature Adult

Aging with G.R.A.C.E. (Gathering Resources to Achieve Connections and Empowerment), is a program that offers individuals 60 years of age and older assistance in building new friendships, and promoting healthy eating, with a focus on the importance of being proactive in addressing barriers to staying independent.

The program offers mature adults an increased knowledge of available resources and a safe space to engage others.

Aging with G.R.A.C.E. also provides our clients with a resource network, energy assistance, information and referral services; and case management services focused on helping them to fulfill and establish their needs.

Aging with G.R.A.C.E promotes social Interaction, opposes the threat of isolation, depression and potentially reduces the risks of being in vulnerable circumstances.

Who is eligible?

Program requirements for Aging with Grace Program are as follows:

  • Participants must be 60 years of age and older
  • Fully vaccinated
  • Income at or below 125% of the federal poverty guidelines
  • Able to participate in meetings

The State Unit on Aging ensures that Connecticut’s elders have access to the supportive services necessary to live with dignity, security, and independence. The unit is responsible for planning, developing, and administering a comprehensive and integrated service delivery system for older persons in Connecticut.
