NEW HAVEN, CT (March 19, 2021) – Community Action Agency of New Haven, Inc., Premier social service agency and Non-Profit in Greater New Haven, announces the promotion of Tiffany L. Robinson MBA, NCRI, to Director of Planning and Business Development. In her new role, she is responsible for supporting and advising the development and evaluation of agency programs, services, and fund development initiatives. 

Tiffany joined CAANH in November 2018, as the Planning and Development Coordinator. Tiffany enjoys navigating the bliss and complexities of living a purpose-driven life. She believes business management is her talent while her gift is training and development. Since joining the agency Tiffany continues to expand her toolkit and resources in academia and community involvement initiatives. 

“We are confident Tiffany will continue to help us create an organization that encapsulates CAANH’s culture, mission, vision, and values” praises Deputy Director and Vice President of Human Resources, Jenell Robinson. With the support and guidance of CAANH, she has completed the national certification to become a Results Oriented Management Accountability Implementor (2020) and enrolled in the University of New Haven Master’s Certificate Non-Profit Leadership, Innovation, and Organizational Sustainability program (2022). In addition, Tiffany continues her learning and building outside the traditional classroom by completing the Resident Leadership Program with Neighborhood Housing Services (2019), Empowerment Study sessions for her church community (ongoing since 2017), participates in the Alumni Engagement Team for the Community Leadership Program through the William Graustein Foundation (ongoing sine 2019) and actively volunteers for Junior Achievement of Southern New England (ongoing since 2015). 

CAANH, Inc., is a diversified provider of case management services as well as other direct services, including but not limited to: energy assistance, emergency services, youth and mature adult services to low income families. 

Community Action Agency of New Haven offers Pathways to Prosperity to those in poverty in the Greater New Haven area through: SERVICE, COLLABORATION, ADVOCACY, and KNOWLEDGE GENERATION. 

SERVICES – Community Action’s signature programs, include but are not limited to: CT Energy Assistance Program, Passport Transitional Services, SMART Women, and Case Management services to low-income families. 

COLLABORATION – We work across sectors with our partners: municipalities, non-profit and for-profit organizations to provide collaborative services that meet our clients’ various needs. 

ADVOCACY – We encourage low-income individuals to inform their elected officials of their position on poverty related issues in conjunction with CAANH. 

KNOWLEDGE GENERATION – We support and collaborate with research institutions and other entities to obtain more in-depth knowledge about poverty and in determining the most successful strategies for leading people out of poverty.
