Jeannie Vargas enjoys playing a game of basketball with the kids in the community, writing poetry, and spending time with her family.
She is the Youth Program Coordinator for the Manage Your Future (MYF) Program at CAANH. Currently, at CAANH, she has accomplished the following: received Certification in Critical Time Intervention, Motivational Interviewing, HIPAA, CPR/AED, and certified as an Ice House Entrepreneurial Facilitator.
Prior to working at CAANH, she was the Programs Assistant for the Valley Opportunity Council agency (VOC). At VOC, she gained experience working with low income communities as an after school assistant coordinator. In 2015, Ms. Vargas was a panelist for the Bay Path Women’s Leadership Conference in which she was asked to share and discuss her successful experience regarding mentorship. She is also affiliated with the Department of Veteran Affairs as a Veteran Caregiver.
She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a Criminal Justice Certification. She attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst in which she devoted herself to becoming a Sociologist.
